Chiropractic Care Isn’t Just For Back Problems And Headaches

There have been many studies into the field of chiropractic care and diabetes , and they all have had good results.  In a particular case, which was published in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research, a man of 48 suffering from the early onset of diabetes mellitus, sought chiropractic care to see if there was a non-medical drug-free way his diabetes could be treated.

The patient received chiropractic care, which involved the adjustments of the spine and muscle manipulations to correct subluxations. In addition to chiropractic care, the chiropractor also helped the man with nutritional changes, which included an increase in his protein intake and other nutritional supplements… as well as a new exercise regime.

Of course, not everyone would experience success as quickly, or see massive changes in just one month of chiropractic care. but after just 30 days, this 48 years old had fewer signs of diabetes mellitus.  After one month, his glucose levels seemed to have balanced out and he did not have to take insulin now, or in the future… so long as his condition remained as it was. So, he carried on with the chiropractic care and monitoring.

Now this study is just one of numerous studies on vertebral subluxations, that was documented in 2006.  These research has revealed that correcting vertebral subluxations is not just an answer for people with bad backs or severe headaches, but a possible option to manage diabetes, stress, or a number of other conditions and illnesses.

It does make you wonder… How many people with diabetes are seeking, or know about chiropractic care?  After all, world diabetes in increasing dramatically.   In 2006 the global number of diagnosed diabetes was 165 million, it’s estimated to be 250 million by 2010 and up to 330 million by 2025!

Chiropractic care is not a cure for diabetes mellitus or any other type of diabetes. But it can be a significant treatment for the care and health of diabetes sufferers.  No more should we accept that chiropractic care has to do only with bad back and headache issues.

Dr. Blum, who was the author of the study , which was in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research, concluded that: If chiropractic care helped just 5% of people with diabetic conditions,  it could mean a major improvement in lifestyle that millions would benefit from.
