Is There Any Such Thing as a Free Glucometer?

My uncle Tom was always a guy who crazed food. Ever sincle I’d been a kid I always remember him to be fat.

Aunt Matilda, his wife, was always attempting to make him stop his bad diet, but she was almost never successful. Poor aunt Matilda always did her best to cook the type of foods that are suggested by nutritionists and as much as I am aware, she always cooked healthy meals for her family.  Tom’s wife rarely prepared desserts and she refrained from purchasing packets of biscuits and also other foods which were high in sugar content.

However Tom always had a craze for sweets and he always declared that no meal is complete without dessert. No wonder that uncle Tom goes regularly inside the grocery to acquire many of the foodstuffs which he crazes for. Consuming a whole packet of biscuits at coffee time is normal for uncle Tom. Matilda does her best to manage her husband’s eating while at their house, though she is not always successful. However she is not with him on the job and you never know which kind of foods and sweets my uncle eats during work hours.

His doctor told him more than once that he ought to shed weight immediately, but these suggestions didn’t have a lot of effect. ”We live once and we die once”, he says when people tell him that she should lose weight. My cousins, uncle Tom’s daughter and son, also love sweets. This comes to no real surprise.

Alas 2 to 3 weeks ago, my uncle had a blood test and it turned out he was affected by diabetes type 2. As the doctor told him what the repercussions of type 2 diabetes are, my uncle got amused and bewildered. His doctor advised that it might be best to obtain a glucose meter, either by purchasing one or by registering to obtain free one at some websites. How can uncle Tom live without his beloved biscuits, cakes and desserts I don’t know!

My uncle looks like he is still amazed by the words of his doctor. Aside from the occasional biscuit there and then, Tom stopped having dessert after his meal. However this whole scenario has made him very unhappy. As Tom still has to obtain a glucose testing kit I though I could help.

I did a Google search for “glucose meters” and I came across a site that allows you to register to get a totally free glucose meter. During my research, I discovered that a glucose meter is often known as a glucometer.

I filled every detail of uncle Tom in the form provided and registered for the free glucose meter. Okay, this may not resolve uncle Tom’s problem and it will not make him any happier but this is actually the slightest which I am capable of doing.

I wish that uncle Tom would quickly receive the free glucose meter.
